How to apply for a "child" 50000 UAH: application process has started

As of January 1, 2026, a law on one-time state aid for child birth in the amount of 50 thousand UAH came into effect in Ukraine. Applications for the funds can now be submitted both offline and online. This is reported by RBC-Ukraine.

Child payment of 50 thousand UAH: how to apply

As explained by the First Deputy Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Lyudmyla Shemelinets, the payment can be arranged by mothers in two ways:

• by submitting an application to the Pension Fund of Ukraine

• by applying through the eMalyatko service in the Diia application.

She noted that due to the technical setup duration of the electronic service, those who want to receive help immediately should submit documents directly to the Pension Fund.

Increase in child benefits from 2026: who the changes concern

The law stipulates that one-time aid of 50 thousand UAH can be received by mothers who give birth after January 1, 2026. For children who have not yet reached one year of age by that date, fixed monthly payments are established. Their size and conditions depend on the child's birth date.

The Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine emphasizes that the new payment mechanism aims to strengthen support for families with children and adapt social assistance to current conditions.

It should be noted that, in addition, child care assistance up to 1 year will amount to 7,000 UAH per month.
