Generation Z – people born roughly from the late 1990s to the early 2010s – is seeing a new trend: they increasingly use cash, especially on weekends. This has become possible thanks to the spread of a life hack that recommends using cash to cut costs.

“Have you ever looked at your bank account on Sunday evening and thought, 'Where did all my money go?' A little card in your wallet makes spending too easy. Like this: Cash Only Weekends – a TikTok trend that’s actually genius,” journalists share.

According to the idea, it is recommended to withdraw a certain amount of cash every Friday for the weekend, which will become the main source of finances during the free days, thereby avoiding the temptation to use a credit card.

“Cash makes you think. Parting with a $20 bill is harder than mindlessly tapping a card to buy a fifth cold coffee over the weekend,” the authors emphasize.

Zoomers received the following recommendations for using cash on weekends: - Check your budget and plan your weekend; - Withdraw only the necessary amount; - Hide credit cards for the weekend; - Be prepared for situations where money runs out; - Choose a card for emergencies. This approach to using cash on weekends is becoming increasingly popular among Zoomers, who also refuse phone calls with the word 'hello,' opting for digital ways of communication.
