Ecological disaster in Kherson region: how the occupiers deprive people of water

Ecological situation in Kherson: testimonies from local residents
Екологічна катастрофа в Херсонщині: як окупанти залишають населення без води.

An ecological disaster has been recorded in the Kherson region, for which the Russian occupiers are responsible. Irresponsible behavior by the occupying forces leads to serious problems for the local population. For example, due to the explosion of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Station, water has become a rare commodity, and the lakes are filled with garbage.

In particular, residents of settlements in the occupied zone have long faced a lack of regular water supply. They are forced to travel hundreds of kilometers to bring clean water to themselves, while the Russians have enough resources for their own needs.

Journalist Yevheniya Virlych emphasized that even the technical water that is occasionally brought is contaminated. Unfortunately, in addition to the ecological disaster, Russian aggression also poses a direct threat to the life and health of the civilian population - even medical workers come under fire.

A Ukrainian journalist highlighted the problem faced by residents of Kherson region due to the ecological disaster caused by Russian occupiers. Shortcomings in the ecological sphere have led not only to a shortage of water but also to threats to the health and lives of the civilian population in the region.
