Last week, a meeting took place between representatives of the Ministry of Communities and Territorial Development of Ukraine and the National Agency for Emergency Supply of Finland. Among the participants were Deputy Minister Artem Rybchenko and Deputy Head of the State Agency for Infrastructure of Ukraine Ivan Lukerya.
During the meeting, they discussed support for Ukraine during the winter period, protection of critical infrastructure, and necessary equipment. They also talked about cooperation between Ukrainian communities and municipalities of Finland, as well as the participation of Finnish companies in reconstruction projects.
“Support for Ukrainian communities is very important right now, especially before the winter. Russia continues to shell civilian infrastructure, and we see the consequences of these attacks every day. We appreciate Finland's support and readiness to work together on the protection and recovery of our regions,” said Artem Rybchenko.
Ivan Lukerya emphasized that it is crucial for Ukraine to ensure the protection and prompt restoration of life-sustaining systems. The state is forming a reserve of equipment — modular stations, technical solutions, and generators — to ensure the uninterrupted operation of energy enterprises and critical infrastructure.
The Ukrainian side invited partners to consider the possibility of operational support and joint rebuilding projects. They discussed urgent actions and long-term priorities: restoring infrastructure, improving logistics, and conditions for the return of Ukrainians home.
