Volodymyr Dendura: A Life Cut Short
On August 24, 2025, Senior Soldier Volodymyr Dendura, known by the call sign Rzhavyi, was killed in a small-arms engagement with enemy forces in the settlement of Yampil, Donetsk Oblast. He was just 19 years old. Born on June 26, 2006, in the village of Zadvirya, his death adds to the heavy toll of Ukraine's ongoing war with Russia.
His Path to Service
Dendura completed 11 years of education at his local school. In 2023, he enrolled at a vocational college in Lviv to train as a chef-bartender. However, he left before finishing his second year to voluntarily join the Armed Forces of Ukraine, eventually becoming a senior soldier in the Special Operations Forces. His training took place in Berdychiv, Zhytomyr Oblast.
Tragically, on August 24, 2025, Dendura suffered a fatal head wound. He was laid to rest in the village cemetery of Zadvirya. He is survived by his parents, sister, grandparents, and his girlfriend.
