New power outages in Ukraine: due to the consequences of attacks, restrictions in several regions

Нові відключення електроенергії в Україні: обумовлені наслідками обстрілів і обмеженнями в ряді областей.
As a result of drone attacks on energy facilities, there are new power outages in several regions this morning. Emergency recovery work is ongoing in all regions affected by the shelling. Energy workers are doing everything possible to restore power to all consumers as quickly as possible. This was reported by Glavkom referring to Ukrenergo.

Due to the complicated situation in the energy system caused by the aftermath of three massive rocket-drone attacks on the energy system during this month, consumption restrictions are being applied in all regions of Ukraine today. Throughout the day, hourly power outages will be in effect ranging from 0.5 to 3 shifts. There will also be power limitation schedules for industrial consumers throughout Ukraine, as stated in the report.

Ukrenergo emphasizes that electricity consumption remains high. Today, October 31, as of 6:30 AM, it was 2.8% lower than at the same time the previous day - on Thursday. The reason for the changes is the forced application of limitation measures in all regions.

The need for energy conservation remains today. Please limit the use of powerful electrical appliances until the end of the current day. When the power comes on according to the schedule, do not turn on multiple powerful electrical devices at the same time, the company notes.

Additionally, seven mini-CHPs are being built in Kyiv, which are expected to be operational by the end of the year. They will supply power to critical infrastructure facilities in emergency situations.

Ukrainian energy workers have reported that due to drone attacks on the country's energy infrastructure, power outages occurred in several regions. Currently, emergency recovery works are ongoing; however, under the framework of around-the-clock electricity consumption limitations, it is recommended to use electrical appliances sparingly until power is restored according to the schedule. At the same time, emphasis is placed on the need to develop the energy system to address similar situations in the future.
