Negotiations between Ukraine and the USA

On January 7, Ukraine and the USA will hold the third session of negotiations aimed at ending the war. President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that the main topics of discussion will focus on the most challenging issues, particularly concerning the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant and territories. These negotiations are part of both countries' efforts to achieve peace and stability in the region.

The first report has already been made by Rustem Umerov, who is a member of the Ukrainian negotiation team, regarding the results of the work in France. As reported, on January 6, Ukraine, France, and the United Kingdom signed a declaration on the future deployment of multinational forces in Ukraine, highlighting international support for Ukraine in this situation.

Progress in Negotiations

US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff noted significant progress in the negotiations. He expressed hope for reaching certain compromises, which may initiate a new stage in resolving the conflict. Kyrylo Budanov, one of the representatives of the Ukrainian side, noted that not all information can be public, but specific results already exist, and work continues to protect Ukraine's national interests.

Among the participants in the negotiations from Ukraine are:

  • Rustem Umerov
  • Andriy Hnatov
  • Kyrylo Budanov
  • Sergiy Kyslytsya
  • David Arakhamia
  • Oleksandr Bevz

These meetings reflect Ukraine and its partners' ongoing efforts to find ways to end the war and ensure peace in the region.

The negotiations between Ukraine and the USA, which will take place on January 7, underscore the importance of international diplomacy in the context of the ongoing war. In particular, discussions on issues related to the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant may be critical to ensuring security in the region. The signing of the declaration between Ukraine, France, and the United Kingdom indicates the increasing international support for Ukraine, which could influence the course of further negotiations.
