Ukrainians are in no hurry to pay fines for violating traffic rules, which may lead to unpleasant consequences in the future. According to statistics, 75% of enforcement proceedings related to unpaid fines are actually closed, however, this does not mean that debtors can avoid responsibility. Lawyer Bohdan Kushnir emphasized that even after the proceedings are closed, financial obligations remain and can lead to serious restrictions for offenders.
'In this case, if the executor has no opportunity to collect the fine, the enforcement proceedings are simply actually closed. But the fine, debt, and seizures on property and accounts do not go anywhere. They remain until the person pays the fine,' the lawyer explained.
Therefore, it is important to remember that even after the closure of enforcement proceedings, all financial obligations remain in force and can have serious consequences for offenders in the future, especially when entering into contracts or transactions with property.
