Application for 800 Plus assistance
From February 1, 2026, in Poland, applications for 800 Plus assistance will start being accepted, which will last until May 31, 2026. It is important to note that payments will not be automatic, and for each new calculation period, a new application must be submitted. This means that families planning to receive this assistance should pay attention to the deadlines for submitting documents.
Conditions for receiving assistance
800 Plus assistance will be available for each child up to 18 years old, regardless of the family's income. However, for children of Ukrainian citizens, there is a condition — they must attend an educational institution in Poland. From February 2026, the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) will check the official employment of parents. It is important that the parents' salary is at least 50% of the minimum wage. If documents are submitted after June 30, 2026, the June payment will not be made.
The payment period for assistance in 2026 will last from June 1, 2026, to May 31, 2027. For additional information, parents can use various resources, such as:
- ZUS portal (PUE)
- mZUS mobile app
- Emp@tia search
- electronic banking
This will allow for quicker navigation through the application process and receipt of payments.
The introduction of the 800 Plus program may significantly affect the financial support of families with children, especially those with school-age children. The conditions for Ukrainian citizens planning to receive assistance highlight the importance of educational integration into the Polish education system, which may ease the adaptation for newcomers.
Parents should be attentive to the deadlines for submitting applications to avoid delays in receiving financial support.
