A pilot project is being launched in Ukraine that will allow people to search for jobs and use the services of employment centers through the "Diia" application and administrative service centers. The government has already initiated the digitalization of employment service operations based on the new system "Obriy". The Ministry of Digital Transformation reports this here.
The project will be implemented in stages in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine over two years. Its goal is to simplify employment for citizens and make interactions with the government as online as possible.
How "Diia" will help find jobs in Ukraine
In the first phase, the technical team will integrate the "Obriy" system with "Diia". This will allow databases to exchange information without delays, ensuring that applications, vacancies, and documents are correctly displayed in digital format.
The second phase involves launching services directly within the application and on the "Diia" portal. Services will be available for citizens of Ukraine, foreigners, and businesses.
Employers will be able to:
- select staff online;
- invite candidates for interviews;
- officially hire employees remotely.
Job seekers will have access to:
- viewing current vacancies;
- offers tailored through artificial intelligence;
- employment without visiting government institutions.
What services will be available in administrative service centers
After the launch of online services, they will also become available in administrative service centers. The government has approved a list of 12 mandatory services, including:
- registration, renewal, or termination of unemployment status;
- submission of applications for unemployment benefits;
- receiving certificates of accounting, payments, and income;
- issuing work permits for foreigners;
- submitting applications for other types of state assistance, including grants and payments in emergency situations.
The Cabinet of Ministers notes that digitalization will reduce bureaucracy and allow the government to better understand the real labor demand, while the unemployed will be able to find jobs faster.
