In Ukraine, it is possible to independently transfer the labor book to electronic format without visiting government institutions. To do this, it is enough to upload scanned copies of documents through the Pension Fund portal. This simplifies access to work history and reduces the risk of data loss. This is reported by the Judicial Legal Newspaper.
Electronic labor book: how to submit documents online
The electronic labor book is a digital equivalent of the paper one. It helps preserve data about work history and protects it from damage or forgery.
To submit documents through the PFU portal, you need to:
-
Log into your personal account using electronic signature
-
Select the section «Communications with the PFU»
-
Go to the tab «Information on labor relations»
-
Fill out the data and agree to information processing
-
Upload scanned copies of the labor book.
Documents are accepted in PDF or JPEG formats.
Digitization of the labor book: requirements for scans
Scanned copies must meet technical requirements. It is important that all pages are of good quality and legible.
Main requirements:
-
color images
-
clarity and full visibility of entries
-
presence of signatures, stamps, and requisites
-
resolution of at least 300 dpi
-
file size — up to 1 MB.
Pages should be uploaded in chronological order.
Confirmation of work history: what documents to add
Along with the labor book, additional documents can be submitted to confirm work history.
Among them:
-
education documents
-
child's birth certificate
-
military ticket
-
other confirmations of work periods.
This will help avoid problems with pension calculation.
After uploading, all files need to be signed with an electronic signature and sent to the Pension Fund. The status of the application review can be checked in the section «My inquiries».
PFU electronic services are gradually replacing paper documents, allowing citizens to manage their work history remotely. This reduces bureaucracy and makes access to data faster.
Recall that on April 9, 2026, Law No. 13705-d was adopted, which establishes new rules for confirming insurance experience for pension receipt in Ukraine even without a labor book.
