How the Children Reacted to the Split

In an interview for Ramina Eshkhakzai's '30+' show, actress Anastasia Korotka revealed how her children responded to her divorce from TV presenter Andriy Bidnyakov. The couple, who were together for roughly 16 years and married for 10 of those, finalized their separation in 2024. They have two children, including a daughter, Ksenia, who, according to Korotka, reacted with strong emotions to the news.

Korotka shared that Ksenia cried, fearing her parents might 'divide' her. The actress stressed the critical importance of children feeling loved by both parents, regardless of the situation.

"Of course, there are different scenarios—when the mother is left alone with the children, or the father. Many women are abroad now. In reality, the mother is alone with the kids, and the father is only in touch remotely. But it doesn't matter how far away the parents are: if a child is 100% sure they are loved—there is no problem,"
she noted.

The Importance of Communication with Children

Korotka also explained that communicating with children requires a specific approach. She pointed out that if she and Bidnyakov speak loudly, it doesn't mean they are arguing.

"She used to ask: 'Are you fighting?' We'd say: 'Sweetheart, we're just talking like this, discussing a topic,'"
the actress added. In this way, Anastasia Korotka emphasized the value of open and honest dialogue with children during difficult times.

Parental divorce can significantly impact a child's emotional well-being, making it vital for parents to maintain stability and a sense of security. Open communication, along with continued love and support from both sides, can help children navigate the emotional challenges of a family breakup. This situation highlights a common challenge for modern families, underscoring the need for parents to adapt to new circumstances while prioritizing their children's emotional health.
