Since Putin considers the annexation of Crimea to be the reunification of Russian lands, Russia should give away a large part of its territories to Mongolia and Kazakhstan, as they historically belonged to these states. This opinion was expressed by the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko. The President has also repeatedly stated that he supports the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
In his interview with Euronews, President Alexander Lukashenko shared that he would not like to see the destruction of Ukraine. The Belarusian leader noted that taking Crimea because it is originally Russian is an unreasonable approach and suggested returning to the times of Khan Batuy.
If we recall the period of the Mongol-Tatar yoke, then it is necessary to give Mongolia and Kazakhstan almost all the territory of the Russian Federation. Regarding Crimea, the president does not understand why to return to what was.
In Lukashenko's opinion, it is currently unacceptable to redraw the borders of another country, since many regulatory international legal acts have previously been adopted. They determine the guarantee and stability of the borders of each state.
In his interview, Lukashenko also mentioned the situation in Donbas, noting that there is currently war in the region and that these are unformalized borders. Even Russia has not allowed itself to recognize this region as a state.
It should be noted that earlier Alexander Lukashenko expressed his readiness to send Belarusian peacekeeping forces to Donbas to resolve the conflict. According to the president, such a plan was proposed to the opposing sides, but they did not agree with it.
He also stated that he does not recognize the self-proclaimed republics of 'LNR' and 'DNR' and considers the annexation of Crimea a mistake.
