In 2025, university admission for all applicants, except those with privileges, will depend on the results of four subjects of NMT. It is also possible to use NMT results from the previous three years.
If this year the applicant did not score the required number of points in one of the NMT/ZNO subjects, experts recommend several alternative paths, such as:
Path 1. Admission to Colleges
Those who did not pass the NMT can enroll in colleges and earn a degree of 'junior professional bachelor' in three years or even less.
To enroll in a college, applicants must pass a creative competition or an interview. There is also an opportunity to apply only based on the results of a motivational letter for those choosing the contract form of study.
The application period for colleges will last from July 5 to 26, but there will also be an opportunity to submit documents for a contract until October 20.
Path 2. Admission to Vocational Schools
Without NMT results, you can enroll in vocational educational institutions and obtain the first profession in a short period. Each vocational school has its own selection system based on the results of the certificate.
Path 3. Gap Year
A gap year is a year between finishing school and starting university education. This time can be used for rest, travel, volunteering, or preparing for future admission.
Gap year programs can last from six months to a whole year and include travel, studying abroad, or preparing for entrance exams. This helps to determine future plans and make it easier to transition from one type of education to another.
