In the city of Artziз in the Odesa region, the electricity supply stopped due to shelling by Russian forces. The city mayor reported that the problem of restoring electricity is planned to be resolved no earlier than a week.

According to the mayor, the situation with electricity supply in the city will be tense and residents should not expect a quick restoration. However, water supply is controlled, heating points and charging stations for local residents will be opened.

“On the night of Saturday, December 13, Odesa suffered from one of the most large-scale attacks. The enemy deliberately shelled energy facilities to deepen darkness and cold in the city”

The head of the Odesa city military administration reported that as a result of the shelling, four local residents were injured. The city areas were left without electricity, heating, and water supply. Most local facilities sustained damage, including a building in the historic center.

Russian troops fired more than 300 shells

According to preliminary data, Russian military aggression involved firing about 300 means of destruction, including kamikaze drones, various rockets, and hypersonic systems. The main targets were energy, industrial, and civilian facilities in the city.

As a result of these attacks, electricity supply was disconnected in many areas of Odesa and the region, causing serious problems with water supply and heating. The Prime Minister of Ukraine held a meeting for the prompt response of relevant agencies and companies to the consequences of this attack.

As a result of the aggression of Russian troops, many residents of Odesa and the region became dependent on humanitarian aid and state support. The situation in the region remains tense, and the quick restoration of life in peaceful cities and villages is impossible without reestablishing electricity and other communications.
