Attack on the city of Novhorod-Siverskyi
A tragedy occurred in the Chernihiv region, in the city of Novhorod-Siverskyi – Russian drones launched an attack, resulting in the death of a 50-year-old man. This was reported based on information from the State Emergency Service and the head of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration, Viacheslav Chaus.
According to the State Emergency Service, several buildings were damaged during the attack, including an abandoned structure, a residential building, and an outbuilding. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fires and prevent the further spread of the flames.
Consequences of the attack
According to official information from the authorities, among the damaged objects are the district police department and the medical college. As a result of the attack, one police officer was injured.
In the evening of December 6, Russian occupying forces launched an attack on Novhorod-Siverskyi in Chernihiv region using four 'Geran-2' strike drones. According to the head of the Novhorod-Siverskyi District State Administration, Oleksandr Seliverstov, the attack damaged the district police department, the building of the medical college, as well as at least eight private residential houses and a civilian vehicle.
It should also be noted that on the night of December 7, the occupiers struck critical infrastructure facilities in Ukraine using strike drones and missiles from both aerial and ground bases.
The events that took place in Novhorod-Siverskyi are yet another example of the ruthlessness of Russian aggression and the threat to the lives of civilians. Ukraine continues to erase national borders and defend its territorial integrity in the fight against the external enemy.
