Trump signed the US defense budget
US President Donald Trump signed the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for the 2026 fiscal year. Expenditures amount to a record $901 billion. One of the important points of the budget is the allocation of $800 million to support Ukraine.
This funding is provided to Ukraine under the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI) in two tranches of $400 million each for the purchase of American weapons over the next two years.
Ukraine and the world face complex challenges due to aggressive actions by Russia, so discussions about a peaceful resolution of the conflict and support from other countries are crucial for ensuring security and peace.
