New Feature Added to the eCherha System

A new functionality will be introduced in the eCherha system starting May 12. It involves automatic verification of Green Card insurance for commercial transport, specifically buses and trucks. Possession of this insurance certificate is a mandatory requirement for these types of vehicles when crossing the border.

During the online queue booking process, the system automatically checks whether the insurance is valid. Users can see their insurance status in their personal account. If the insurance certificate is not yet valid at the time of booking, the reservation remains active until it reaches the 'Ready for entry' status. However, if the insurance is not valid when this status is assigned, the system cancels the reservation automatically. Additionally, the user's account displays the insurance expiration date.

Benefits of the New Feature

This feature was developed in partnership with the Motor (Transport) Insurance Bureau of Ukraine. According to the developers,

“we continue to develop eCherha as a service that not only helps plan border crossings but also allows carriers to avoid unnecessary risks and delays.”
As a result, this innovation will help improve the efficiency of border crossing procedures for commercial transport.

This new functionality represents a significant step in simplifying border crossing procedures for carriers. It helps prevent potential delays caused by outdated or missing insurance coverage. By automating Green Card verification, carriers can plan their routes more effectively and reduce the risk of administrative hold-ups at the border.

As eCherha continues to enhance its services, the recent introduction of automatic Green Card verification for commercial vehicles complements the earlier rollout for private cars. This expansion not only streamlines the border crossing process for different vehicle types but also reflects the ongoing efforts to improve efficiency in travel logistics.
