Former US President Joe Biden has initiated a new stage of treatment for an aggressive form of cancer that was diagnosed in May. As reported by 'Glavcom,' his press secretary announced this on Saturday, as quoted by NBC News.
«As part of the prostate cancer treatment plan, President Biden is currently undergoing a course of radiation therapy and hormone treatment,» the spokesperson said.
According to NBC News, the course of radiation therapy will last for five weeks and marks a new chapter in Biden's treatment. He is also taking hormone medications in pill form. Last month, 82-year-old Biden underwent treatment for skin cancer.

In May, 82-year-old Joe Biden announced the diagnosis of an aggressive form of prostate cancer with bone metastases. Since then, he has rarely appeared in public. The former president's spokesperson denied accusations of secrecy regarding his illness.
