The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has supported a draft law that provides additional rights and protection for military personnel who report possible cases of corruption or offenses in this area. This was announced by Defense Minister Denis Shmyhal.

According to information from the minister, the draft law will allow military personnel to send reports of possible cases of corruption to the relevant departments or individuals responsible for preventing and detecting corruption. They will also be able to choose the channel for such reports, including contacting the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NAPC) directly. Additionally, the law exempts military personnel from the obligation to inform their commander about identified cases of corruption.

'The goal of the changes is to increase transparency in the Armed Forces, to guarantee every serviceman a safe mechanism for reporting corruption and reliable protection from prosecution or pressure. This is another step towards creating an effective and modern army where there is no place for corruption or abuse,'
emphasized Denis Shmyhal.

The government has introduced important changes to legislation concerning the rights of military personnel fighting against corruption to provide them with additional opportunities and protection in this area. This helps to build a transparent and fair system for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
