The Royal Air Force Typhoon fighters participated in combat operations as part of Operation 'Eastern Watch' to support NATO. This marked the first time that two aircraft patrolled Polish airspace to deter potential threats from Russia. This operation was supported by the RAF Voyager tanker. After a successful mission, the Typhoons returned to their base in the United Kingdom.

The UK Ministry of Defence emphasizes that this combat sortie was a response to violations of Polish airspace by Russian drones, which marks a serious breach of NATO airspace since the beginning of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. UK Defence Secretary John Healy expressed support for the pilots and crews for their mission and for protecting allies from Russian aggression.

The Typhoon fighters participated in a critical combat mission for the first time to support NATO and protect airspace from potential threats. This underscores the readiness of the United Kingdom to collaborate with allies and defend its territory amid growing tensions in the region.
