On November 25, 2025, the High Anti-Corruption Court decided to satisfy the lawsuit of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office regarding the recognition of the dubious nature of the assets used by the head of the village council in the Rivne region, amounting to nearly UAH 5.8 million, and their further seizure for state revenue (civil confiscation).
The court recognized the following assets as dubious:
- a residential building with an area of 230 sq. m and a land plot with an area of 831 sq. m;
- a boat worth nearly UAH 1 million, a land plot of 0.25 hectares, and a cargo vehicle.
“This property was acquired by the official's mother-in-law and the official's family, raising suspicions about its origin,” the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office explained.
The verification of information began based on materials from the Main Department of the National Police in the Rivne region, and the lawsuit itself was filed based on materials from the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption - NAPC.
The individual who used the specified assets may appeal the court's decision within 30 days from the date of drafting its full text.
In the proceedings regarding the head of the village council in the Rivne region, the court recognized the individual's assets as dubious and supported the lawsuit for their confiscation in favor of the state. This news is part of the fight against corruption in Ukraine, where the authorities of the anti-corruption prosecutor's office and the courts are making efforts to ensure legality and transparency in the management of state resources.
