The Brazilian midfielder of 'Rukh' Talles Brenner is ready to accept Ukrainian citizenship and play for our country.

In the Lviv club and Ukraine, the foreign player feels at home, as he told the publication 'Ukrainian Football'.

'When we played away in Kyiv, I managed to see the consequences of the war outside the city, and frankly, it was really scary. I have adapted to everything, to the way of life that exists in Ukraine now, to the pauses in matches due to air alerts. And I, like all Ukrainians, must be brave,' he said.

The Ukrainian people impressed Talles.

'Ukrainians are very brave overall. Of course, sometimes they are afraid, but I see a lot of courage in protecting their home, their family, and their homeland,' the Brazilian added.

When asked if he would agree to play for the Ukrainian national team, the footballer answered affirmatively.

'Undoubtedly, it would be an honor for me. I enjoy watching the Ukrainian national team's matches; I follow them constantly. I am very proud to be a part of this nation and to be able to help every day,' he concluded.

In 2021, Talles Brenner moved to Donetsk 'Olympic', and later transferred to 'Rukh'. He played for Finnish KuPS on loan but returned to the Lviv club.

This season, he has played 14 matches for 'Rukh', scoring six goals and providing five assists.
