Condition of the victims and warnings from rescuers
The current health status of the victims is being assessed by medical professionals. The reasons for the incident and the circumstances of the poisoning are being investigated, but preliminarily, experts relate it to violations of the rules of using heating stoves. Rescuers urge citizens:
Dear citizens! Remember the danger of carbon monoxide. It has no smell, taste, or color, but even in small concentrations poses a deadly threat to life. Therefore, regularly check heating equipment and ventilation systems, the rescuers wrote.
We remind you that in Lviv on Prince Roman Street, nine people were poisoned by carbon monoxide. Among the victims were five children. They were hospitalized. It was previously reported that in Kolomyia, due to a malfunction of the gas boiler, a family of four was affected by carbon monoxide poisoning.
The incident in the village of Komarivka is another example of the danger of carbon monoxide and the importance of adhering to heating equipment operation rules. Rescuers emphasize the importance of regular checks of ventilation systems and heating equipment to avoid similar tragedies.
