Information about new payments to Ukrainians from the UN has spread online. The Center for Countering Disinformation warned citizens about the fake, reports 'Glavkom'.
«A fake about a payment from the UN of 10,800 hryvnias is actively circulating online. Users are supporting the message with a link to a fraudulent website, where one can usually apply for assistance,» it says in the message.
It is reported that this is a fraudulent scheme. The UN does not carry out payments through such a mechanism and does not provide financial support through unverified third-party websites.
«Never click on suspicious links and do not provide personal information. If you receive such a message, be sure to report it to the competent authorities and block the scammers,» the CPD added.
We remind you, information about supposedly deceived Israelis for $80 million by Ukrainian scammers is a fake aimed at discrediting Ukraine and inciting anti-Ukrainian sentiments abroad. By the way, Russian propagandists are spreading a fake image of a letter supposedly from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, which states the refusal to pay compensation to the families of fallen soldiers.
