The Russian aviation industry is losing support due to sanctions

Western sanctions adversely affect the Russian aviation industry, leading to its rapid decline. This results in increased ticket prices and reduced passenger traffic. The ban on servicing Russian aircraft by Boeing and Airbus service centers has led to a 38% increase in maintenance costs. More than half of the Airbus aircraft in Russia are currently grounded, and the aviation infrastructure is in critical condition.

The cost of airline tickets to Russian resorts has significantly increased and now reaches nearly $400, which is 12.5% higher than last year. Prices are expected to rise another 15%, which could lead to a 7% decrease in passenger traffic. The situation in aircraft manufacturing is also not great: the cost of planes already exceeds initial estimates by 45-70%, threatening a complete collapse of the industry by 2027.

Amid losses, airlines are trying to shift the financial burden onto passengers, which only exacerbates the crisis.

American Senator Lindsey Graham warns the Russian president of possible consequences if military actions in Ukraine continue, reminding of a possible scenario similar to the Iranian conflict and the imposition of large-scale sanctions against Russia and its allies.

As a result of the ban on servicing Russian aircraft by Boeing and Airbus service centers, the Russian aviation industry is gradually turning into a critical situation, which could significantly affect the economy of the country and lead to a substantial decline in passenger traffic, as well as a collapse in the aviation industry.
