In the city of Pokrovsk in Donetsk region, Russian troops already control 60% of the territory, posing a serious threat to Ukrainian defenders. Official sources report the penetration of the invaders into the city and the encirclement threat for more than 1000 soldiers.
'Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad are already lost, to put it briefly,' stated UAV pilot Valeriy, who participated in the city's defense.
The Russians are using flanking tactics to avoid direct confrontation and seep behind the enemy's defense line. This complicates the management of the situation for Ukrainian military, who face logistical and resource problems.
The likelihood of encirclement for the troops is increasing
According to military estimates, the presence of a large number of invaders in the city could lead to encirclement for 1000-1500 soldiers stuck on the front line. Without an immediate response and support from command, they face serious risks of losses and capture.
'Pokrovsk is simply an ideal place for accumulating personnel. And the Russians understand this — they are sending numerous troops there, moving forward without support,' noted a drone operator during an interview.
Russian troops are actively reinforcing their position in the city, threatening not only Pokrovsk but also neighboring Myrnohrad. The situation is on the verge of complete encirclement and loss of control over the region, requiring immediate action from the Ukrainian military.
