Temperature fluctuations in Ukraine: what to expect in October
Despite the noticeable cooling that has come to Ukraine, there can still be significant temperature variations upwards throughout October. The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center emphasizes that mid-autumn is traditionally characterized by such 'temperature swings.' This was reported by a representative of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, Natalia Ptukhа.
According to her, the first decade of October in Ukraine is quite cool, and the temperature is generally close to normal but may be lower in the western part of the country. The second decade of the month is expected to be within climatic norms.
«According to calculations, there is now a probability that somewhere in the third decade, there may be slightly higher temperature values compared to those typical for October. That is, a few degrees above the climatic norm,» Ptukhа emphasized.
No stable cooling is currently observed in the country, as such temperature fluctuations are usual for mid-autumn. The geographical location of Ukraine allows for the alternation of influxes of Arctic air and warm streams from southern latitudes, which leads to such temperature changes. Forecasters advise to keep an eye on further weather forecasts and prepare for possible warming, especially in the last decade of October.
Previously, forecaster Natalka Didenko emphasized that warm and sunny days are still expected in October. However, one should not forget about warm clothing and caution on the road during fogs.
