Combat Map Updated
The analytical portal DeepState has updated its map of hostilities, indicating advances by Russian occupation forces in Ukraine. According to the new data, Russian troops have seized the village of Krasnohirske in Zaporizhzhia Oblast and have made gains within the area of Huliaipole, also located in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Furthermore, the occupiers have intensified their actions in the Zaliznianske area of the Bakhmut district in Donetsk Oblast. By the end of 2025, Russian forces had occupied 4,336 square kilometers of Ukrainian territory, which constitutes approximately 0.72% of Ukraine's total area. These incremental gains, while small in percentage, represent strategically significant ground in a grinding war of attrition.
Significance of Monitoring Developments
The updated combat map underscores the ongoing nature of the conflict in Ukraine and the intensification of Russian military operations, which could have serious implications for regional security and stability. Accurate, independent battlefield mapping is crucial for understanding the war's dynamics beyond official statements from either side.
It remains vital to monitor subsequent developments, as they directly influence the situation within Ukraine and shape the international response to Russian aggression.
