Today, May 10, the state returned the Assumption Cathedral complex in Vladimir, Volyn region, to its ownership. This was reported by MP Ihor Huz, as stated by 'Glavkom'.

«The state has finally regained the Assumption Cathedral complex in Vladimir! What journalists saw inside the temple today speaks for itself. George ribbons, an icon of John of Kronstadt – the ideologist of the «Union of the Russian People», a monarchist and xenophobe… These are not just objects. They are symbols of hostile ideology that has finally been removed from the Ukrainian shrine», - it is stated in the post.

According to the MP, the state is currently documenting every item in the temple, conducting an inventory and comparing it with the registers.

«I am convinced that in the near future worship services at the Assumption Cathedral will be held in the Ukrainian language», - summarized the MP.

As a reminder, the Kyiv Metropolitanate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) has been recognized as affiliated with a foreign religious organization, the activities of which are prohibited in Ukraine in accordance with Article 3 of the law «On the Protection of the Constitutional Order in the Sphere of Activities of Religious Organizations».

MP Ihor Huz stated that the Assumption Cathedral in Vladimir-Volyn was returned to state ownership after an inventory was conducted and banned symbols were removed from the temple. It is now expected that worship in the cathedral will be conducted in the Ukrainian language.
