Situation with crossing the border of Ukraine
The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine has denied rumors about an increase in citizens traveling abroad, reporting a decrease in the intensity of border crossing. According to the agency, in September the number of departures exceeded the number of arrivals, but already in October these indicators approached balance - approximately 50 to 50. In November, a predominance of arrivals was again recorded.
The main part of the traffic is formed by Ukrainian citizens, who make up about 85% of the total flow. Current crossing figures are the lowest in the last three months. As of November 14, 5.9 million citizens were outside Ukraine, which is 128 thousand more than during the previous statistics update. In the period from October 3 to November 14, almost the same number of people left the country as from January to September.
Expectations and socio-economic factors
The State Border Guard Service also noted that an upturn at the border is expected after December 20. At the same time, unemployment among internally displaced persons reached 17%. This data indicates a change in the dynamics of border crossings, which may be caused by various factors, including the socio-economic situation in the country.
The decrease in the intensity of border crossing may indicate that Ukrainian citizens are adapting to new conditions, particularly due to economic challenges and changes in the social situation. The upturn expected after December 20 may be related to seasonal factors such as New Year's holidays, which traditionally affect the mobility of the population. This data is important for understanding how citizens react to internal and external circumstances and may serve as indicators for further government policy regarding social support and migration management processes.
