The State Statistics Service of Ukraine will conduct the first household survey in all territories under control in September since the start of the full-scale invasion. The purpose of the survey is to collect complete and reliable information about the situation of children and women in Ukraine, in order to make effective state decisions based on this data.
A team of field research specialists is undergoing intensive training as part of the Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS) - an international study initiated by the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).
'MICS is a strategic milestone that will help to better understand the needs and challenges facing Ukrainian families. The data obtained will allow the government to shape social policy not randomly, but based on the data received. This information is critically important for the country - to better understand its own social realities, - and for our international partners, so that they can more accurately assess the situation in Ukraine and plan support more effectively,' said the head of Gosstat, Arsen Makachuk.
The State Statistics Service of Ukraine is preparing to conduct a household survey to collect information about the situation of children and women in Ukraine. This will allow for effective state decisions to be made based on objective data. In addition, Ukrainian specialists are participating in the international MICS study, which will help to better understand the needs of families and attempt to address their problems.
