Dmytro Kuleba and Svitlana Paveletska's Wedding

Businesswoman Svitlana Paveletska, wife of former Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, and Kuleba himself got married on May 26. The marriage was registered online through the Diia platform. The celebration took place at home with a small circle of relatives, where the couple's children—son Oleksandr and daughter Liuba—as well as both sets of parents, were present for dinner.

Paveletska shared that the idea of an online wedding came to them simultaneously. She noted:

“Neither of us wanted a big ceremony at the registry office. We knew right away we would register through Diia.”
The celebration was held in an intimate atmosphere, with only 10 people at dinner, including parents and children. Paveletska added:
“In the evening, we met with our parents, as it was a chance for them to get to know each other. My parents live in Odesa—and so this meeting happened. We had an intimate dinner for 10: parents and kids, and no one else. We are happy with this choice.”

Wedding Style

For the ceremony, Paveletska chose a white dress adorned with pearls, designed by herself and produced by Elvira Gasanova's brand. The shoes she wore—from Gianvito Rossi—were purchased before the full-scale invasion. Kuleba wore a white embroidered shirt (vyshyvanka), a staple in his wardrobe for over five years, paired with brown trousers.

The couple has been in a relationship for more than four years, and on this day, they decided to take a significant step in their lives, opting for simplicity and closeness in their celebration.

This event highlights a modern approach to wedding ceremonies in today's world, where online platforms are becoming increasingly popular for marriage registration. By choosing an intimate atmosphere and family closeness, the couple underscores the importance of personal relationships in times of change. Such decisions may reflect broader societal trends where traditional celebration formats give way to more intimate and contemporary alternatives.
