Dmytro Grunskyi's Latest World Record

Strongman Dmytro Grunskyi, hailing from the Ukrainian city of Dnipro, has claimed a new Guinness World Record by bending a sturdy frying pan with a diameter of 16.4 cm in less than 60 seconds. This impressive feat quickly gained attention, with the video of the stunt attracting over 120,000 views within just one day. Grunskyi already holds more than 20 records nationally and internationally, making him Ukraine's top record-holder for unique accomplishments recognized by the Guinness World Records.

A History of Strength and Endurance

With two decades of experience in strength sports, Grunskyi first made headlines in May 2022 by pulling a 32.5-ton vehicle using only a 2 mm thick cable wrapped around his neck. In 2023, he continued pushing boundaries, including towing a 30-meter-long truck with his teeth and setting a record by pulling a 2.5-ton truck over five meters in just 26 seconds using his beard.

Ukrainian strongmen as a group have also been setting new global benchmarks. For instance, in Dnipro, a team of strongmen broke the world record for towing an 18-ton truck over 20 meters in 16.72 seconds, later improving that time to 16.47 seconds. Additionally, Lviv native Pavlo Kordiaka achieved a Guinness World Record in Milan by lifting five logs weighing between 100 and 180 kg each in the shortest time. In April 2023, he earned the title of Europe's Strongest Man at the competition held in the UK, where fellow Ukrainian Oleksii Novikov finished second.

These accomplishments highlight the ongoing rise of Ukrainian strongmen on the international stage, as they continue to break records and elevate the sport's profile across the country.

Such achievements not only advance the development of strength sports in Ukraine but also enhance the nation’s global reputation, inspiring young athletes to pursue excellence and reach new heights in their athletic careers.

As Ukrainian athletes continue to make their mark on the world stage, the remarkable achievements of young talents are equally noteworthy. For instance, just recently, a 13-year-old pole vaulter shattered records by clearing an impressive height of 4.70 meters. Such feats not only inspire the next generation of athletes but also showcase the extraordinary potential within Ukraine's sports community.
