The UN is constantly sending humanitarian aid to support the healthcare system in Ukraine, but the further east you go, the worse the situation becomes.
Government restrictions and security issues hinder the delivery of UN aid to the front line. The World Health Organization is also trying to persuade rebels to allow them to treat patients.
The UN claims that Ukraine is in dire need of more international medical assistance to prevent an outbreak of disease that could have dire consequences for Europe as well.
