Simplified procedure for obtaining a combatant certificate
The government of Ukraine has approved changes to the procedure for obtaining a combatant certificate, making the process easier and more accessible for everyone. Now volunteers can directly apply to the CNAP for the certificate if their status as combat participants is confirmed by the relevant authority.
'This allows for avoiding unnecessary formalities and simplifying the process of obtaining the certificate,' - said the Ministry of Veterans Affairs.
The resolution also provides an updated application form that will help avoid misunderstandings when obtaining a combatant certificate.
Expansion of rights for families of captives and the missing
The government has decided to remove legal restrictions that complicated access to information from the Unified State Register of War Veterans for the relatives of individuals who are captive or missing. Now, the parents of such individuals have the right to obtain information from the register, regardless of other circumstances.
The requirement for the applicant to reside with the person regarding whom the information request is made has also been canceled.
The government resolution will simplify the process of obtaining a combatant certificate and expand the rights of relatives of captives and the missing, providing them easier access to necessary information.
