The DOT-Chain Defence online platform has expanded its service to support over 500 military units. DOT has also secured contracts for 4,700 fragmentation-resistant suits worth more than 186 million UAH.
Procurement Initiatives and Military Support
This year, DOT began sourcing tactical missiles and aircraft alongside off-road vehicles like quad bikes, motorcycles, and buggies. New additions in personal protective equipment include lightweight (around 2 kg) fragmentation suits and bulletproof vests specifically designed for women, offering enhanced protection without restricting mobility. The procurement list is shaped by requirements from the General Staff and the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
DOT’s supply portfolio covers a wide array of military necessities, including:
- weaponry
- ammunition
- military vehicles
- unmanned systems
- transportation
- personal gear
- food supplies
- fuel
Launched as a pilot in July 2025 for 12 brigades, the DOT-Chain Defence online weapons store has now expanded to serve over 500 units, including the Armed Forces, National Guard, State Border Service, and National Police of Ukraine.
Typical delivery times average eight days for in-stock items and 37 days for custom-manufactured goods. DOT manages supplier vetting, contract negotiations, payments, and compliance monitoring. The Cabinet of Ministers’ recent approval of revised daily field rations reflects ongoing efforts to optimize troop provisioning in 2026.
Contracts include 4,700 fragmentation-resistant suits for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, totaling over 186 million UAH.
“Our mission is to fulfill these requirements with maximum efficiency, foster competition, and reduce delivery times for vital military supplies,” said Artem Romanyuk.
The expanded procurement list underscores a growing commitment to addressing evolving military needs and adapting to new operational challenges. Introducing women-specific bulletproof vests and advanced fragmentation suits marks a critical step in enhancing soldier safety. Meanwhile, the scaling up of the DOT-Chain Defence platform highlights improvements in supply chain efficiency and alignment with modern military logistics standards.
The expansion of the procurement list is a significant step in enhancing military readiness, and with over 500 units now utilizing the DOT-Chain Defence platform, the efficiency of equipment acquisition has markedly improved. This initiative not only streamlines the supply process but also ensures that frontline units receive essential gear swiftly, crucial for maintaining operational effectiveness in challenging environments.
