Over 500 Units Now Access DOT-Chain Defence for Rapid Military Equipment Procurement

Introducing the DOT-Chain Defence Initiative

According to Рубрика — Суспільство: More than 500 military and security units currently utilize DOT-Chain Defence, Ukraine’s government-operated online weapons marketplace developed by the Defense Procurement Agency of the Ministry of Defense. Since its launch over a year ago, this platform has delivered upwards of 1.3 million drones and other defense tools to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, totaling 85 billion hryvnias in value. By dramatically cutting delivery times from between two to six months down to just nine days, DOT-Chain Defence empowers units to independently select the arms and equipment they require.

User Base and Order Composition

Among the active users are 486 units spanning the Armed Forces, National Police, National Guard, and State Border Service. This marks a significant expansion from just 12 brigades of the Armed Forces who had access one year ago. The system also serves specialized groups such as the Drone Line project and select assault regiments. Integration into the platform is funded through three government budget programs:

• DOT-Chain Defence
• Drone Army Bonus
• Ministry of Internal Affairs Program

Order distribution on the platform is heavily weighted towards unmanned aerial vehicles, which make up 84% of purchases. Electronic warfare devices account for 8.6%, ground robotic systems 7.2%, and ammunition represents a minimal 0.2%.

“DOT-Chain Defence is actively used by units from the Armed Forces, National Guard, State Border Service, National Police, Security Service of Ukraine, Main Intelligence Directorate, and the DSTT, all of which engage directly in combat operations. Our goal is to enable as many units as possible to independently select their weapons,” explained Mstyslav Banik.

As a result, DOT-Chain Defence not only eases access to state-of-the-art weaponry but also speeds up delivery times-a vital advantage under the pressures of ongoing conflict.

Implementing DOT-Chain Defence represents a crucial advancement in streamlining Ukraine’s military procurement process. The platform enhances supply chain efficiency while granting units greater autonomy in choosing armaments. In the fluid and evolving context of modern warfare, rapid adaptation and integration of new technologies are essential factors in maintaining national defense capabilities.
