Drone Attack on Stavrolen Plant: Why It Matters for the Russian Army

On the night of October 29, many drones were spotted over Russia, with one of the targets being the chemical plant LLC 'Stavrolen' in the city of Budyonnovsk, Stavropol Krai. This plant is part of the 'Lukoil' group of companies and is involved in the production of polyethylene, polypropylene, benzene, and other chemical materials.



'Stavrolen' is one of the largest producers of polyethylene and polypropylene in Russia. Its products are used in both civilian and military sectors of the country's economy, providing equipment, packaging, transportation, and engineering support.'


Drones Attacked the 'Monokristall' Plant


On the night of August 12, drones launched an attack on the city of Stavropol in Russia. According to preliminary data, the local plant 'Monokristall' was targeted.


Witnesses reported several explosions near the facility. This plant is one of the main producers of sapphire for optoelectronic manufacturing.



The events involving drones attacking chemical enterprises in Russia indicate a new level of technological conflict and a threat to industrial facilities in the country.
