Specialist Training on Advanced Engineering Equipment

At Ukraine’s Main Mobile Rescue Center, experts underwent comprehensive training to operate 69 new engineering vehicles provided with assistance from the Republic of Korea. This equipment was delivered through the Embassy of South Korea in Ukraine and the Korea International Cooperation Agency. The sessions covered operational procedures, safety protocols, and guidelines for warranty and maintenance services.

Details of the Equipment and Training Outcomes

The emergency units received a fleet of 69 heavy engineering machines, including:

  • 27 crawler excavators,
  • 21 wheel loaders,
  • 21 crawler bulldozers.

The training focused on proper commissioning of the machinery, hands-on application in emergency response scenarios, and strict adherence to safety measures during rescue operations.

The acquired skills will enable operators to efficiently deploy the equipment for debris removal and complex rescue tasks. Additionally, the program addressed routine maintenance schedules and spare parts supply chains to ensure the vehicles remain operational at all times.

This initiative highlights the critical role of international cooperation in enhancing Ukraine’s disaster response capacity. Incorporating state-of-the-art engineering technology significantly boosts the effectiveness of rescue services, reflecting an increased commitment to safety and preparedness amid ongoing challenges.

In addition to enhancing operational capabilities with new engineering vehicles, the training programs for Ukrainian rescuers are further strengthened by initiatives like IMSMA Core Training, which focuses on mine risk education. This comprehensive approach not only equips emergency responders with advanced skills but also emphasizes the importance of safety in various rescue scenarios.
