The European Union introduces a unified border control system
The European Union is creating a unified system for border crossing control that will cover citizens of third countries, including Ukrainians. However, no new documents will be required for traveling to European countries.
Andriy Demchenko, a representative of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, explained that the EU's border control system is intended to enhance security and will apply to third-country citizens, including Ukrainians.
'The unified system will control the border and security of European countries and those within the Schengen zone. This database will be filled with all border crossings by third-country citizens. This also applies to Ukrainians who are entering and exiting European countries,' Demchenko explained.
The system will collect passport data - the surname and first name of the person crossing the border, as well as certain biometric data. The information will be stored in a unified database to ensure border security.
Ukrainian citizens will not need to obtain new documents for border crossing; conditions will remain unchanged.
'There are no new changes regarding the conditions or documents that one would need to enter European countries; this is not applicable. It is merely a unified database,' Demchenko emphasized.

The new system is part of the European Union's initiative to modernize border control and improve cooperation among member states in the area of security.
