Acquisition of Patriot Missile Systems
The European Commission has given the green light to Ukraine’s request to acquire Patriot missile systems worth approximately €3.2 billion. This procurement falls under the Ukraine Support Loan program and aims to significantly enhance Ukraine’s air defense capabilities ahead of the approaching cold season.
The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense announced that these missiles will be deployed to shield civilians and vital infrastructure from Russian missile attacks, including ballistic threats.
