The State Bureau of Investigations in France conducted searches at the former Prosecutor General of Ukraine, Svyatoslav Piskun, as part of the investigation into the case of oligarch Igor Kolomoisky, who is suspected of organizing the assassination of lawyer Serhiy Karpenko in 2003, reports 'Glavkom' citing Zn.ua.

According to sources in the investigative bodies, Piskun is suspected of receiving illegal benefits to close the case regarding the assassination attempt, in which Igor Kolomoisky was the suspect. Prior to the searches, operations were carried out at the former prosecutor’s villa in the suburbs of Nice, and today at the notary who processed the deal for Piskun's purchase of this property.

Notifications of suspicions against Kolomoisky

It should be noted that since September 2023, Kolomoisky has been behind bars on suspicion of fraud and money laundering obtained by illegal means. In May 2024, he was officially informed of the suspicion of organizing the ordered murder of lawyer Serhiy Karpenko in 2003.

According to the investigation, Kolomoisky ordered the murder of Karpenko out of revenge, as he accompanied the deal for the sale of 'Dniprospecstal'. It is also known that the oligarch fought for the company's shares and tried to undermine the decision of the general shareholders' meeting with the help of a lawyer.
