Strategic Targets in Russia Hit
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has confirmed successful strikes against strategic targets inside the Russian Federation. The attacks damaged infrastructure at the 'Maykop' military airfield in the Republic of Adygea, a facility used for refueling and basing aircraft.
Another strike hit the 'Kremniy El' plant in Bryansk, one of Russia's largest microelectronics manufacturers. This factory supplies components for missile systems. The attack destroyed a workshop producing integrated microchips for ballistic, cruise, and anti-aircraft missiles. A fire covering 1,000 square meters completely destroyed the plant's roof. A 400-square-meter warehouse storing components for chip production was also destroyed. The combined damage has halted the plant's production cycle for at least six months. These deep-strike operations represent a significant shift in Ukraine's military strategy, targeting Russia's domestic defense-industrial capacity.
Attacks on the Kyiv Region
Overnight on March 14, Russian forces attacked the Kyiv region using drones and missiles. Several districts were struck, resulting in civilian casualties. Residential buildings and infrastructure were damaged, highlighting the severe consequences for the civilian population. The ongoing exchange of long-range strikes underscores the conflict's protracted and escalatory nature, with both sides seeking to degrade the other's military and logistical capabilities.
