Ukraine's Ski Season: A Guide to Three Popular Resorts

Located in Kyiv, Protasiv Yar provides a variety of services for winter sports enthusiasts. Lift ticket prices are as follows:
- 50 UAH per single ride on weekdays, 60 UAH on weekends.
- A three-hour pass costs 500 UAH on weekdays and 600 UAH on weekends or holidays.
- Snow access for four hours is 250 UAH, and a ski pass card deposit is 20 UAH.
Children under six ski for free when accompanied by an adult. Equipment rental is available from 10:00 to 21:00:
- Adult set — 600 UAH,
- Children's set — 400 UAH.
Helmets, goggles, and gloves rent for 120 UAH. For lessons, Protasiv School offers individual instruction at 1000 UAH per hour with a standard instructor or 1500 UAH with a senior instructor. Group lessons start at 1800 UAH per hour for two people. The resort is accessible by minibus #495 or #450 and trolleybus #40 from Olimpiyska metro station, or by minibus #198 from Vokzalna metro station.

Golosiyv Ski Park
Situated at 8 Horikhuvatskyi Shliakh Street in Kyiv, Golosiyv Ski Park features a 500-meter slope with a vertical drop of 138-193 meters. Lift prices are:
- 50 UAH for a single ride on weekdays.
- Pass options: two-hour pass for 550 UAH, three-hour for 800 UAH, or a 13-ride ticket for 650 UAH on weekdays.
On weekends, the 13-ride ticket is 750 UAH and the two-hour pass is 650 UAH. Snow access for four hours costs 150 UAH. Four-hour equipment rental is 550 UAH for adults on weekdays and 600 UAH on weekends; clothing sets are 350 UAH and 500 UAH, respectively. For children, equipment is 400 UAH (weekdays) and 450 UAH (weekends), with clothing at 250 UAH and 350 UAH. Reach the park via minibus #212 from Teremky metro station; parking is available for 300 cars.

Vodyanyky
Located in the Zvenyhorod district of Cherkasy region, Vodyanyky offers diverse skiing conditions. Lift ticket prices are:
- 100 UAH for a chairlift ride, 90 UAH for a T-bar.
- A day pass (09:30–17:00) is 1000 UAH on weekdays and 1100 UAH on weekends.
- Evening skiing (17:30–20:30) costs 850 UAH (weekdays) and 950 UAH (weekends).
- A combined day-and-evening pass (09:30–20:30) is 1600 UAH (weekdays) and 1800 UAH (weekends).
The ski pass card deposit is 50 UAH, and children under five ski free. Equipment rental at Vodyanyky varies:
- Adult set — from 200 UAH on weekdays to 220 UAH on weekends,
- Children's set — from 150 to 160 UAH.
Snowboards and snowblades rent for 220-240 UAH, while a helmet or goggles cost 100 UAH per item. The resort's infrastructure includes three slopes (red, blue, and green), the longest being 750 meters with a 100-meter vertical drop. It features one quad chairlift and one T-bar lift, a snowpark with jumps and a half-pipe, a ski school, restaurants, relaxation zones with a sauna, jacuzzi, and hot tubs, and slope-side hotels. Free parking is also provided for visitors.
