Today, December 18, the head of the National Bank Andriy Pyshnyy and a member of the PrivatBank board for retail business Dmytro Musiyenko decided to personally visit a veteran with amputations in the hospital after the scandal and handed him bank cards. The military man was unable to receive them due to formal procedures. This was reported by the bank's press service, citing 'Glavkom'.

PrivatBank will implement systemic changes in working with military personnel and veterans, as well as people with disabilities, after the unacceptable situation that occurred with a veteran in Kyiv. We have already begun reviewing and changing service procedures and are creating a separate hotline for the rapid processing of applications and complaints from veterans, female veterans, military personnel, and people with disabilities, which will be formed, in particular, with the involvement of the expertise of the patronage service 'Angels' of the 3rd Army Corps.

PrivatBank reported that the bank's employees will undergo additional training to avoid similar situations in the future. The incident prompted the institution to conduct an internal investigation and change service procedures.

The scandal over the refusal to issue a bank card to an injured soldier occurred at PrivatBank

PrivatBank found itself at the center of a scandal due to the refusal to issue a bank card to an injured defender. The reason for the refusal was the physical impossibility of the soldier to complete the identification procedure. The incident occurred at a Kyiv branch of the bank, where a 20-year-old soldier who lost all four limbs came to restore the card for state payments. Despite the obvious absence of hands in the veteran, the staff insisted he personally hold the card near his face for a photo. As a result, the soldier was left without access to funds due to bureaucratic obstacles from the bank.

After the loud scandal, PrivatBank apologized for the incident and is ready to cover the treatment and prosthetics for the injured soldier, who was initially refused the issuance of a bank card. The bank also promised to review internal procedures to avoid similar situations in the future.
