Planned Power Outages in Kyiv Region for February 3
DTEK, Ukraine's largest private energy company, has published a schedule of planned electricity outages for the Kyiv region on February 3, 2026. These measures are being implemented following President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's announcement on February 2 that Ukrainian energy workers had fully restored the national power system to its pre-failure state after a major technological accident on January 31.

To mitigate the impact, the government is offering businesses grants of up to 15,000 hryvnias and zero-interest loans for energy equipment. Furthermore, applications opened on January 30, 2026, for the 'SvitloDim' (LightHouse) support program aimed at multi-apartment buildings. These initiatives are part of a broader effort to improve the energy situation and support residents and businesses during a challenging period for Ukraine's infrastructure.
The power cuts in the Kyiv region are a controlled part of the ongoing effort to stabilize the national grid following recent systemic failures.
The support program, including financial aid for enterprises, is designed to cushion the effects on consumers and promote better energy efficiency. Such steps are crucial for ensuring a reliable electricity supply amid Ukraine's evolving and often precarious energy landscape.
