Group 13 strikes in Crimea
Specialists from Group 13, a special-operations unit of Ukraine's Defence Intelligence (HUR), have attacked two Russian S-400 Triumf surface-to-air missile launchers and an Orion UAV control antenna in Russian-occupied Crimea. The strike was carried out in early August using Magura multi-purpose maritime platforms outfitted with FPV drones. The operation adds to a series of Ukrainian maritime-drone attacks on Russian assets in Crimea.
HUR estimates that the losses suffered by the Russian military from this strike could amount to tens of millions of dollars. This is not Group 13's first mission in Crimea: earlier in August, the unit destroyed a Russian Pantsir-S1 air-defense gun-missile system and a military crane. At the end of July, Group 13 used Magura platforms to strike two Russian radar sites in Crimea as well.
The successful operation was announced on HUR's official Facebook page, highlighting Ukraine's ongoing military activity in the region.
