Collecting UFO Sightings in Ukraine

Ukraine's Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense has set up a dedicated email address, uap@gur.gov.ua, to collect video evidence of unidentified flying objects (UFOs). Defense Ministry advisor Serhiy 'Flash' Beskrestnov announced the initiative on social media on May 11, 2023. The goal is to encourage eyewitnesses to come forward and share potentially valuable data about these phenomena. This effort reflects a broader global trend of governments taking UFO reports more seriously.

Earlier in 2023, Beskrestnov released a video showing aerial reconnaissance tracking an unidentified flying object.

“Within an hour, representatives of a state agency that has been dealing with these issues in Ukraine since Soviet times contacted me,”
he said, highlighting the significance of UFO observations.

Official Protocol and Call for Witnesses

Additionally, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have introduced a special document, approved by the Commander-in-Chief, that outlines procedures for handling UFO-related matters.

“If you witness a UFO and have video footage, please send it to uap@gur.gov.ua. Your observations could prove very important,”
Beskrestnov added. This initiative signals a growing focus on UFO phenomena within Ukraine and a desire by military authorities to gather more information on the subject.

The creation of a dedicated email address for UFO video submissions may indicate a shift in how such phenomena are studied in Ukraine. By involving the public in data collection, authorities can not only obtain new evidence but also raise societal awareness about these mysterious objects. The development of this initiative could also influence future strategies in military intelligence and security.

As Ukraine's military enhances its focus on unidentified aerial phenomena, it's essential to consider how this initiative aligns with broader defense measures. For instance, starting in 2025, a new procedure for mandatory DNA collection from all defenders will also be implemented, reflecting the evolving landscape of national security protocols. Understanding these developments can provide insight into the government's comprehensive approach to both terrestrial and extraterrestrial threats.
