In Khmelnytskyi there are 8 new trolleybuses, among which for the first time - vehicles with an autonomous range of up to 20 kilometers. This was reported by TRC 'Misto'. The new transport has already undergone testing and will hit the routes from Monday, strengthening the current lines and gradually replacing the old trolleybuses.
New trolleybuses and changes in routes
The director of the municipal enterprise 'Elektrotrans' Serhii Bobukh reported that trolleybuses with autonomous drive will return to routes No. 4 and No. 4a via Pilot Street. Also, for the first time, trolleybuses will go to Dalni Hrechany, and after the next batch arrives - to Ruzhychna.
Khmelnytskyi Mayor Oleksandr Symchyshyn talked about extending route No. 8 'Yunyst – Hrechany' to house No. 123 in Dalni Hrechany. In addition, plans are in place to launch a new route from AS No. 1 to Ruzhychna with a turnaround near the WOG gas station.
How much equipment the city has already received
The city is systematically updating its trolleybus fleet:

28 new trolleybuses have been received since April;

in total, Khmelnytskyi is set to receive 44 units;

10 of them are with an autonomous range of up to 20 km.
The next batch of transport is planned to be presented at the end of January or early February 2026. The last vehicles are expected to arrive in March 2026.
